We are happy to announce that the Hamon Arts Library will be getting a new look this semester. Our lobby will be getting a refresh, with a redesigned services desk, open seating that will accommodate receptions and other events, and all new and updated lighting, signage and furnishingsThroughout the year, the Hamon lobby will become a venue for performances and installations that showcase the Meadows School of the Arts. This is an exciting new chapter for Hamon as we look forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary at the end of 2015.

Construction has already begun and is expected to last until mid-March. Library operations will continue as normal, aside from a few changes:

  • Checkouts, course reserves, study room reservations, and other library services will continue to be handled at the service desk, temporarily located in the basement.
  • The temporary Hawn Conference Room will be located in room 3210 on the third floor of Hamon. Patrons may check out the key to this room at the service desk.

We also ask that patrons exercise caution in construction areas. As always, you may use the Ask a Librarian service, or contact Hamon staff for questions.
